Common Ground Ethiopia is an independent platform dedicated to thoughtful reporting and honest conversations about Ethiopia's political, social, and humanitarian realities. We do not exist to represent or promote any particular ethnic group, political movement, government, or social faction. Our commitment is to the truth, the people affected by the country's challenges, and the belief that no community should be denied dignity, safety, or a voice.
 
We believe independence does not mean silence. Ethiopia has experienced conflict, displacement, political repression, and devastating violence that have affected communities across the country. Common Ground Ethiopia will not ignore or minimize mass atrocities simply to appear neutral. We believe difficult truths must be discussed openly, carefully, and responsibly, regardless of who commits the abuse or who the victims are.
 
Our goal is to move beyond propaganda, division, and selective outrage by creating space for facts, context, accountability, and diverse perspectives. We may not always agree, but we believe Ethiopia's future depends on the willingness to confront the truth and find common ground where possible.
